Jamaica's Comfort Zone

This little gem is tucked back in University Commons shopping plaza off College. It's definitely worth seeking out. The service is really excellent - one of the owners took good care of us and made sure we were happy with everything.

Melissa ordered their goat curry, which was good, but pretty salty. The rice cut the salt well, though. I tasted it and agreed it was salty, but good. I'd never had goat before, and it was interesting. Gamey, but not at all tough, and the curry sauce really enhanced the flavor well.

I ordered the chicken Roti, which was chicken and potatoes wrapped in a delicious thin pancake that I think was cornmeal based. It was big as my leg (which is sizeable), so I had plenty to take home and feed to my husband. Melissa also had quite a bit of her goat left. The servings are generous, the prices are low, the service is outstanding and the food is good. Definitely a lunch place I'll visit again.
